The Material Lifecycle

A durable material with a clean end-of-life.

Local leather bypass goes in and a working arena comes out, and when that arena eventually reaches the end of its life there is no persistent microplastic legacy left behind in the sand.

    Circular Valorisation

    We take high-grade raw leather bypass from South African tanneries and convert it into a functional secondary material, so premium components that would otherwise end up in local landfill are put to work in the arena instead.

  • Shredded plastic waste — the persistent microplastic legacy of synthetic footing

    Zero Microplastic Persistence

    Synthetic geotextile fibres eventually fragment into microplastics that remain in the sand indefinitely. Our leather-derived additives are highly durable in use, but they biodegrade cleanly at the end of their working life and leave no persistent plastic legacy behind.
